Wendish Fest Coffee Cake Bake-Off Entry Rules

Wendish Fest Coffee Cake Bake-Off Rules:

-There is no entry fee.

-Entries must be received at the Dessert Booth at the Serbin picnic grounds no later than 10:30 a.m. on September 28, 2025.

-A 5-inch square piece of each entry will be used for judging. The remainder will be sold at the dessert stand.

-Entries will be judged in one of four categories: (1) Käsekuchen, (2) Streuselkuchen, (3) Special, and (4) Youth. The “Youth” category is limited to participants 14 years of age and younger.

-All entries must be made from yeast-raised dough.

-Entries in the “Käsekuchen” and “Streuselkuchen” categories should be baked in a pan no smaller than 9”x13”. The entries may be delivered in baking pans or on disposable cake boards.

-Entries in the “Special” category must be a full recipe. Any shape pan may be used (Bundt, angel food, 9”x13” sheet pan, etc.). The “Special” category may include cinnamon rolls, coffee cakes with fruit or nut toppings, etc.
