Becoming a member of the Texas Wendish Heritage Society assists our efforts to maintain the museum and provide educational opportunities for those who express an interest in the Wends.

Your membership helps to:

  • Maintain and protect donated artifacts of our Wendish ancestors.
  • Provide funds for various projects of the Society, including the annual Wendish Fest and our participation at the Texas Folklife Festival in San Antonio, Texas.
  • Make genealogical materials available to those who are investigating their family history.
  • Promote development of this website.

Membership is January to December and renewal reminders are mailed to members in November of each year. The Texas Wendish Heritage Society, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. All dues and donations are 100% deductible for tax purposes for those who are U.S. residents. For those in other countries, please consult your tax advisor. As a nonprofit organization, our members are very important to us.
