31st ANNUAL WENDISH FEST

Greetings from Serbin, Texas!

The Texas Wendish Heritage Society and St. Paul Lutheran Church at Serbin, Texas will host the 31st Annual Wendish Fest on Sunday the 22nd of September 2019.

Wendish Fest 31 will be a special day of celebration dedicated to sharing the compelling history and heritage of the Wends who came to Texas in 1854, eager to build their homes and preserve their faith and traditions. Both St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Texas Wendish Heritage Museum Complex will be open for tours.

An English worship service will be held at 8:30 a.m. and the German worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. The Texas Wendish Heritage Society is honored to have Rev. Mark Barz as guest speaker. Rev. Barz currently serves as 3rd Vice President of the the Texas District, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.

We invite you to join us for a fun filled family day of all things Wendish – Food, folklore, folkways and fun!
