Quarterly Membership Meeting

August 16, 2015, 2:00 pm

Following a brief business meeting, we will continue the theme of the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War as we hear from Walter Penk, acclaimed Veterans Administration researcher into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Walter will share with us his knowledge of PTSD and its effect on Civil War soldiers.

The program promises to be interesting and informative. Bring a snack to share, and join us on August 16.

  1. Hello; I’m a new member. I work for the US Army in Germany and last month was able to take a group of 10 relatives to visit our roots in Weigersdorf. We met the new pastor (Benjamin Rehr). He was very interested in learning more about the Serbin Museum and I said I would help him to ‘connect’ with you. Can you send me a short email that I could provide him to ‘contact’ you. In addition, while we were visiting, I took numerous photos of the church and baptismal records that I’d be glad to share with the Museum. By chance do you already have a digitized copy of Jan Killian’s old records book in which he handwrote all of the baptismal records from about 1846-1854? The original book is still located in Pastor Rehr’s office there in Weigersdorf. Please send me a short email. Thank you.
