44th Annual Texas Folklife Festival, June 13-14, 2015

Thank you again to Ron Knippa and his group of volunteers for organizing and manning the Wendish booth at the annual Folklife Festival. Ron reported that while the final day was rather wet and rainy, all went well and the visitors had fun and certainly enjoyed eating the noodles, koch kaese sandwiches and barbecued drumsticks that Ron’s volunteers prepared and served. Many thanks to everyone who helped Ron make it all happen!

I am interested in the Sept.27 festival. What time will lunch be served? Will lunch include traditional food and what is the cost? What is the time schedule for the planned events?
    Thanks for your help.

    • Director says:

Lunch is a traditional Wendish meal of sausage, sauerkraut, noodles, beets, green beans, homemade bread, coffee and tea and is served from 11:00am – 1:30pm. Noon meal tickets are $9 for adults and $4 for children.
      Thank you!
