26th Annual Wendish Fest

September 28, 2014

Wendish Fest is coming up! It is scheduled for Sunday, September 28 on the grounds of the Texas Wendish Heritage Museum and St. Paul Lutheran Church picnic grounds.

The daylong event begins with church services at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 8:30 a.m. (English worship service) and 10:30 a.m. (German worship service) with Rev. Dr. David Zersen, President Emeritus of Concordia University Texas, as guest preacher for both services.

Our featured entertainment will be provided by the Oak Wilt Boys, a group that entertained us at Wendish Fest some years ago and is returning to help us celebrate another day of family fun and good food.

As in past years, we encourage you to donate homemade baked goods for our Dessert stand, items for our Silent Auction, and consider trying your hand at baking a homemade coffee cake to enter in the Coffee Cake Bake-off! Desserts and Silent Auction items should be delivered by 10:00 a.m. Deadline for entries in the Coffee Cake Bake-off is 10:30 a.m.
